About Wild Haven
We believe that clarity is rarely found by pushing harder. It is found by creating space. In a world that rewards constant achievement, many—especially those who spend their lives caring for others—lose sight of themselves. Wild Haven exists to offer something different.
A place to pause.
A place to breathe.
A place to remember who you are beneath the demands of work, responsibility and expectation.
We believe nature isn't an escape from life—it is where we return to ourselves. Among mountains, forests, rivers and open skies, the mind quietens. Perspective returns. Creativity reawakens. What once felt overwhelming begins to feel possible again.
Wild Haven combines evidence-based coaching with the restorative power of the natural world to help you navigate life's transitions with greater clarity, confidence and calm.
Whether facing burnout, career change, grief, identity shifts or simply the feeling that life has become too full, we create space for reflection before action. The space you need to grow, change and move forward with clarity.
Whether you're starting a new project, stepping into a new role, navigating a demanding period at work, or facing a bigger change in your career or life, coaching can provide the space to pause, reflect and find a way forward that feels right for you.
About me
My name is Emily Hurst. I have been an NHS doctor for over 15 years, and I understand both the rewards and challenges that can come with working in a caring profession.
Having experienced burnout, stress, anxiety, bereavement and periods of questioning my own sense of purpose, I understand how easy it can be to keep going while losing sight of what you need yourself. For me, nature became an important place to pause—a place where fresh air, movement and space helped me think more clearly and simply be.
These experiences have shaped my passion for creating Wild Haven—a space where people, particularly those working in caring professions, can step away from the pressures of the workplace and daily life to connect with others who understand.
Outside of work, you'll often find me outdoors. I love kayaking, hiking and swimming, and spending time in nature has become an important part of how I look after my own wellbeing. I'm also a musician and enjoy playing a variety of musical instruments—another way I find creativity, connection and space away from the demands of everyday life.
I specialise in supporting people who work in caring roles, who often give so much of themselves to others. But coaching with Wild Haven is open to anyone who feels they could benefit from having the time and space to think, explore and move forward with greater clarity.
I am passionate about coaching and about helping people navigate the challenges, changes and decisions that life and work can bring.
Because life is busy, coaching can take place online or outdoors, allowing you to find an approach that works around your life.
